We’re basically taking over the town of Boonville for New Year’s weekend! About half of the guests, including Liza and Aaron, will be staying at the Boonville Hotel. The other half will be split between two other places a little bit down the road.

If you are coming into town a couple of days before the wedding or staying in the Bay Area afterwards, let us know if you need a hotel or B-and-B suggestion. There are tons of places to stay in SF and in Berkeley, for any budget.

Boonville Hotel

The Boonville Hotel will be the hub for the weekend: it’s where the ceremony and all the main meals will be, and it’s where half of you will be staying. We have the entire place for the weekend, Johnny is cool with however we want to divide the rooms up. There are 8 beautiful rooms upstairs, and a studio and bungalow out back, and we are working on figuring out the best way to arrange everyone. The Sieglers and our friends from New York, Chicago and Berkeley will fill these rooms up, and in order to get everyone in there, we may ask you to be flexible about sharing rooms. We’re going to try to give pregnant couples and recent parents their own rooms, so if you aren’t one of those, you might share a room (with someone you know, don’t worry)! It’s a great place, and we’re going to have to get a little cozy.

What you need to do:
Nothing. You know we’re control freaks, so naturally, we’re going to assign rooms! We already have the place reserved, so you don’t have to call the Hotel or put any money down now. The rooms are all priced differently, but they’re between $140 and $200, per night. If you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call.

For more information about the hotel, check their website or some of the articles about the place online, such as this one.

Indian Creek

Unfortunately, the Boonville Hotel will only house half of you, so we found two other great places for people to stay. We found this awesome “camp-like” place up the street for the Ackermann/Nelson crew. Nestled in the woods next to a huge vineyard, it’s a cabin-like building with 7 separate bedrooms (everyone finally gets their own!), a common area, big kitchen, and nice Scandinavian touches, all about 5 minutes up the road from the Boonville Hotel.

What you need to do: Nothing. It’s all set. Just so you know, this place will cost you $50 (each), for the whole weekend.

Apple Farm

Johnny’s parents got out of decades in the restaurant business (they were the original owners of the now infamous French Laundry), bought an apple farm in Philo, down the road from Boonville, and today run an amazing bed-and-breakfast/working farm/cooking school there. It’s a magic place: they have 3 stand-alone little houses and a room in the main house for rent. Liza’s cousins – Charlie, Jessica, and Daniel and Liz, Matt, Grace and Oscar and Aaron’s Dad and Valerie will be staying at the Apple Farm.

What you need to do: Nothing. The rooms are being held for you for 12/31 and 1/1. If you want to come up a day early, let us know – you can definitely have the room for 12/30 as well. They’re $175/night.
