The turning of the New Year is always significant: it’s a time to reflect on the past and to celebrate possibilities ahead. For the last five years, Liza and Aaron have spent New Year's hunkered down with a gaggle of friends for several days of cooking, eating, laughing, and sharing floor space – a couple of times in West Cornwall, CT, once in NYC, once in Providence, and last year, in Berkeley.

This year, we want to gather a close circle of family and friends in Boonville, CA to mark the beginning of a New Year and to witness, support and celebrate our marriage. The wedding ceremony will be at 1:00pm on New Year's Day, Saturday, January 1, 2005, although we truly envision a weekend of wedding - a spacious few days in which to connect pasts to futures, families to families to friends.

Liza and Aaron will arrive in Boonville in the afternoon. If you’re traveling out here and you can make it up to Boonville on Thursday, that’d be great. You’ll have more time to adjust and to enjoy the area. We will have dinner in town with whoever’s around.   The main arrival day. We would love everyone to get to Boonville as soon as you can on Friday, and we strongly recommend you make the drive by daylight. There are many fun things to do in the area during the day, and we will have a New Year's Eve dinner at 8pm at the Boonville Hotel. Dinner will go late and will then turn into a New Year’s Eve party.

Everyone should gather at the Boonville Hotel at noon, and the wedding ceremony will take place at the hotel at 1pm. We will have a long, leisurely afternoon of eating, drinking, dancing and storytelling afterwards from 3pm on.   Brunch will be served at the Boonville Hotel and we’ll play the afternoon by ear. There are fun things to do around Anderson Valley for anyone who can stay for the day (hikes, trips to the coast, winery visits, etc.), and Liza and Aaron will probably head back to Berkeley in the late afternoon. As husband and wife.
